About Love Mutt Photography

We are Matt and Ashley Johnson, owners of Love Mutt Photography. We love pets and we love photography. So combining the two into a business just seemed like the next logical step.

We have 5 four-legged furry kids in our house. Three dogs: Addison, Ivy, and Naula (pronounced NEW-lah) and two cats: Wolverine and Sophie. Don't worry Ohio State fans, he’s named after the X-Men character, not the University of Michigan!

And we recently introduced a new human member to our pack. His name is Jude and he was born in June of 2011.

In addition to our resident pampered permanents, we have helped over a dozen homeless pets get a second chance in life over the past two years by volunteering to foster them. What can we say – we’re softies for the underdog. We also regularly volunteer our time and talent to help several local rescues raise money and awareness for their cause. We love our animals, and are passionate about helping other animals in need to get the loving homes they deserve.

We have been shooting professionally for 7 years. We are constantly trying to sharpen our skills and develop new ways of seeing things. If we’re not shooting, we are reading about the newest techniques and equipment, spending time with other amazing photographers for new perspectives and ideas, or going to industry conferences to learn first hand from some of the best in the business. We strive for nothing less than excellence.

We truly love every moment we get to spend photographing pets and their humans – Its the best job in the world!!!
